Regarding dental insurance

Hello,

I’d like to personally thank you for choosing me as your preferred provider of dental services. I’ve been practicing dentistry for over 15 years and continue to invest in countless hours of ongoing continuing education in an effort to provide you with the best and most advanced dental treatment. The quality of Dental Care is at the forefront of my mission, vision, and values and I truly hope your experience with my team is nothing but the best.

By now you have probably gotten a letter from EMI informing you about a change in my participation status with your insurance plan. It is true, I have elected to not participate with EMI as a contracted provider, effective 8/1/25. However, I am pleased to inform you that you will continue to receive your insurance benefits at our practice and we will continue to process and submit all of your claims for any dental treatment we provide.  Most insurance plans do have out of network benefits and we will continue to work with your insurance to help you know what your benefits are. We will also offer our own helpful discounts to minimize the impact on you, while maintaining our ability to provide you with the highest standard of care. 

My decision to become a “non-restricted provider” with your insurance plan was largely due to the difficulty I had with sustaining high-quality dentistry under the rules and regulations that insurance carriers place on those that contract with insurance. Because those restrictions interfere with our mission to provide the advanced quality clinical care, changing my participation status with your insurance plan will ensure that you will receive the best care that we know how to offer. We will have no restrictions in providing you with the type of advanced treatment we feel you deserve. We believe in excellent quality clinical care and not policy driven dental care advocated by the insurance industry. 

On behalf of my entire team, we look forward to continuing to provide dental care to you and your family and we thank you for choosing us as your dental office. Despite the change in our participation status with your insurance plan we will still be here to provide the dental services you need, and you will continue to receive any benefits your insurance plan offers and we will honor a discount as we understand how important it is to receive necessary dental treatment at affordable prices.

Should you decide that a change is necessary, we hope that you will consider changing insurances instead of providers. Please go talk to your HR departments and let them know your dentist is no longer in network and that most of the dentists in Cache Valley and throughout the state are moving to out-of-network as well.
